Crowns & Bridges

Enhance your smile

Crowns cover the whole surface of the tooth and are required when the damage to the tooth through severe decay or injury is too severe for a filling. They are also used to rebuild your tooth following root canal treatment.

They can be made from a number of different materials including gold, porcelain bonded to metal, as well as metal free. This latter option is translucent, allowing it to be undetectable from other natural teeth in your smile.

A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth. It is fitted to the teeth on either side of the gap and spans the empty space in the middle. They are made from the same material as crowns and allow you to enjoy eating and smiling as normal.

The treatment usually requires at least two visits. At the initial appointment, the preparation of the relevant teeth along with impressions are taken. These are then sent to a dental laboratory for fabrication of the crown/bridge. During the second appointment the crown/bridge is then bonded in place with a special adhesive.

At Kilburn Dental Studio we pride ourselves on providing high quality dental care in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Take the first step and contact our friendly team to arrange a consultation. We can then discuss the most suitable course of treatment for you.
